TLC wants to walk with families on their life journeys. A very small part of that journey includes things like Sunday school and VBS (Vacation Bible School). A bigger part occurs when families worship together. A VERY LARGE part includes what happens at home (or in the car, at a meal, at bedtime). Our hope is to help you find ways to walk in faith together.
Family Worship & Faith Formation
Each Sunday there is a “taking faith home” leaflet which relates to the Bible lessons for the week. It is designed to be used with your family to help you have caring conversations, have devotional time together, to serve together, and to observe or create rituals at home. Look for it at the children’s ministry kiosk.

9:30am Sunday School Hour (September to Mid-May)
Children ages five thru Grade 6 attend the worship service with their parent(s) or guardian. At 9:45am children are dismissed from worship to attend their classes. Three and four year olds report to their classes in rooms #5 and #8.
11:00am Sunday Explore time (September to Mid-May)
Children of all ages attend the worship service with their parent(s) or guardian at 11:00am. At 11:15am, children who choose to do so may leave to join one of TLC’s staff to EXPLORE the Bible texts of the day. This may involve music, games, drama and art. The children will return to the sanctuary to share communion and closing worship with their families.
Each Wednesday Evening
Worship and Explore (September to Mid-May)
Children of all ages with their parent(s) or guardian attend the Oasis worship service at 6:15-7:00pm.
From 7-8pm., parent(s) or guardian(s) attend the Coffee & Conversation
group. Grades K-6 EXPLORE
the day’s lesson and play. Ages four and under play in nursery.
Ages 2 – 6th grade and their parent(s) or guardian have a MILESTONE event each year. Parent(s) and guardian with their children attend the Sunday worship service at 9:30am and then dismiss together at 9:45am on their designated day(s) to have faith conversations, faith fun, and faith practices around their particular milestone.
Communion training takes place during fifth grade Sunday School class. If your family members would like to take communion at an earlier age we offer an Early Communion Training workshop twice a year for children ages three to nine years old. Children attend this class with parent(s) or guardian to prepare for communion.
